About Vaultez
Secrets don't belong in Slack messages.
We built Vaultez because we kept seeing the same thing everywhere, API keys flying around in chat, .env files attached to emails, passwords shared in Notes. It works, until it doesn't. And when it doesn't, it really doesn't.
The problem with how teams share secrets today
Most teams don't have a secrets problem, until they do. In the early days it's fine. You've got two developers, a shared Notion doc, and enough trust to go around. But teams grow, people leave, and that Slack message from 18 months ago with the production database password is still sitting there, unrevoked, forgotten.
Here's what we see happening over and over:
The Slack thread
Someone needs the Stripe key urgently. It gets pasted into a DM. Then a channel. Then a thread. Now it lives in 6 places, none of them secure, and nobody remembers who has it.
The onboarding email
A new developer joins. Someone sends them a list of credentials over email. That email sits in their inbox forever. When they leave the company, those credentials go with them.
The .env file on Google Drive
A .env file gets uploaded just temporarily to a shared folder. Two years later it's still there, still has production credentials, and is shared with three people who left the company.
None of this is anyone's fault. It's just what happens when teams don't have the right tool. So we built one.
What Vaultez does differently
Vaultez is a single place for your team's secrets, API keys, tokens, environment variables, database credentials, anything sensitive. Everyone who needs access has it. Everyone who shouldn't, doesn't. And you always know who accessed what and when.
No more hunting through Slack. No more offboarding anxiety. No more "wait, which version of that key are we using?"
Stored securely
Everything encrypted at rest and in transit. Zero plain-text storage, ever.
Shared with control
Grant access by role. Revoke it instantly. No more credentials that outlive the people who hold them.
Tracked completely
Full audit logs with diffs. Know exactly who accessed or changed what, and when.
